YLS 2011 Annual Meeting and Transitions Tour

Before the Annual Meeting, YLS members were given a tour of the new homeless shelter Transitions. Members were walked through the new facility. The center will provide those in need a place to shower, do laundry, or just escape the heat or rain.

 

 
Over 50 YLS members attended the YLS 2011 Annual Meeting recapping the last year and discussing big plans for the future. Members were welcomed by the new YLS Chair, Michael Seezen, and were addressed from each subcommittee chair as well. The annual meeting served as a reminder to members as to why YLS was important and how the group fits in with the overall mission of the United Way of the Midlands. Members were briefed on accomplishments YLS made in 2010-2011 term.
