A Letter from the Chairs
The
YLS steering committee has hit 2010 running -making plans for upcoming events
and setting goals for the year ahead. We
are approximately 360 members strong and growing as we continue to raise
overall awareness of YLS in the community.
Because of your support and enthusiasm, we accomplished much over the
past year. During the 2009-10 campaign, YLS has already raised
an astounding $350,335 in contributions to United Way! Those
dollars are critical resources to providing basic needs, medical care, job
training and more for community members, who are the most in need especially
during these hard economic times.
YLS strives to provide members with a variety of opportunities to get involved in the community, build professional skills and create change. We hope you attend at least one YLS event this spring, from the volunteer events at the St. Patrick’s Day Race and the UPS Tug-a-Plane, to the financial planning and networking professional development events, or our members only Cocktails and Conversations evening with De Tocqueville members.

We are currently working to nominate individuals onto the YLS Steering
Committee for the June 2010-May 2011 year.
